Beyond The Silence & The Fury-Action Methods with Eating Disorders
For Eating Disorder clients, the struggles with food, weight, and appearance reflect the inability to voice feelings and emotional pain. The body becomes the battleground for this war of self expression. Clients become silent and "stuck" in self destructive patterns in an attempt to move the emotional pain out of their bodies.

Learn how action methods and musical expression can move clients forward and towards the discovery of their voice. Learn to use the "Self-Soothing Voice", the "Body Dialogue", and the "Three Faces of Eating Disorders" - three experiential structures for helping clients express feelings and develop empathy for their body "connecting the dots" between food, feelings and relationships.
